Top 5 Convenience Store Apps in Europe: Android Performance Q4 2020

As the year 2020 came to a close, the convenience store sector saw varying engagement levels across its top Android applications in Europe. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at the performance of these apps in the fourth quarter of the year.

Starting with Circle K, the app experienced an upward trend in downloads, beginning with 4K in late September and peaking at over 7K in mid-December before dipping to 4K towards the year's end. Weekly active users followed a similar trajectory, starting at around 31K and reaching a high of 38K in mid-December, closing the quarter with approximately 32K active users.

The Circle K Ireland app saw a significant spike in downloads in early November, jumping from a few hundred to over 1K, and then gradually declining to just under 200 by the end of December. However, data on weekly active users was not provided.

7-Eleven Sverige had a noteworthy week in mid-November with over 1K downloads, but otherwise maintained a modest presence with downloads hovering around the low hundreds each week throughout the quarter. Active user data for this app was not available.

The 7-Eleven Norge app showed a stable download rate, with numbers ranging from 100 to 300 weekly. A notable increase to 310 downloads was observed in the last week of November. Weekly active user figures were not reported.

Lastly, Circle K Easy Fuel launched in July 2020 and saw modest download numbers in Q4. After hovering around 20 to 30 weekly downloads early in the quarter, there was a rise to 133 in mid-November, followed by a peak at 188, before ending the quarter with 34 downloads in the last week of December. Active users for this app were not disclosed.
